Sim City 4 Cheats not working. [SOLVED]

Hi, so I downloaded the Sim City 4 game and it worked just fine and it downloaded fine. But the cheats for are not working. I follow all the directions people give but when I try to enter them in, they disappear but then nothing happens. Like when I enter a money cheat I get no money or stuff like that.
but I downloaded almost all my Sims 3 expansion and other games from here and I give you two thumbs up!

But yeah, that tutorial is easy, and I've used it on all my cities.
