Windows 7 update disables "Remove WAT" activation - possible fix.
Hello all,
Some of you may have already come across it: the activator named "Remove WAT" for Windows 7. You can get it here:
https://goo.gl/Y877n2
It's in the folder "Activator 4". Inside that folder, there is the file "RemoveWAT.exe". Open that file, then click on the button "Remove WAT". After a while you'll be prompted to re-boot, which you need to do. After the re-boot, your Windows 7 should be activated.
Now, it is possible that Windows updates disable the activation again. But there's an easy fix to that too !
1) Open RemoveWAT again. THIS time, choose "Restore WAT" (!!!)
2) Re-boot the computer
3) After re-boot, open the RemoveWAT program again. Now, choose "Remove WAT" !
4) Re-boot again
5) Now everything should work fine again.
The "trick" is that by choosing "Restore WAT" intially, the "new" activation by Windows will be overwritten if you wish. When - after the re-boot - you choose "RemoveWAT" in the activator, the activation will be removed again.
I had to do this once only in about 4 years of using Windows 7 (Ultimate), but it worked fine for me; I hope this will be helpful for at least some of you, too. Good luck !
