Trouble Opening the CORRECT Expansion Pack when Multiple Expansions are Installed
Hello, Games4TheWorld!
I downloaded the Complete Sims 3 Collection on my Macbook. I installed the Base Game and Generations and it worked perfectly. However, I wanted to install Seasons and play it together with Generations. I followed the instructions on how to make a .dmg file to install on Mac and I applied the Ultimate Fix. Note that I've done this before numerous times and the fix and the mac installation is not a problem.
The problem is opening the expansion pack.
I would click on [Applications > The Sims 3 > Generations] and the Generations icon would appear on the dock. A couple of seconds later, the Generations icon would disappear and the Seasons icon would appear. *see accompanying GIF*
Because of this, I can't play the Generations Expansion anymore. The game would still be there, like the expansion's clothes and hair, but the start-up screen would show Seasons.
How do I open the correct and desired expansion? Do I change the shortcut path, maybe? How do I do that? Thank you for your help!

Re: Trouble Opening the CORRECT Expansion Pack when Multiple Expansions are Installed
Hi there, krusteazbuttermilk, and welcome to the Games4theworld Forum!
If I understand correctly, you say you want to "open Generations" but Seasons is in the start-up screen instead?
The Expansion Packs in The Sims 3 work like attachments to the base game, and when you open the game, you open the whole "contraction" (attachments included). This means that even if you see Seasons in the start-up screen, you'll have all of the expansion packs installed in the game you are opening. And it's normal that Seasons is appearing at the start, as the expansion pack that appears there is the one with the latest release date (of the ones you have installed). So, if you install Into the Future (for example), The start-up screen of Into the Future will appear but you'll still have Generations and Seasons in your game.
I hope I was clear enough. If you have any other questions don't doubt to post them here!

I did not know that! Thank you! Even back when I was using a PC, I did everything I can to change this thinking it's not normal.
If you don't mind answering another question, I'd like to ask another one.
What if I want to play, let's say, Late Night, and I have Into The Future installed, but I don't want to include going to the future as an option and want to disable the expansion pack objects, do I HAVE to uninstall Into the Future? Or is there an option to disable one installed expansion so I could play Late Night and JUST Late Night? Sorry for the obviously stupid question. I just genuinely want to know if it's possible. Thank you!

No problem!
About your other question, I think that the only option would be to uninstall the expansion pack you don't want anymore. I know some tools existed before (for PC), but I don't think they have been updated to the latest version and for Into the Future.
But why would you want to "disable" some Expansion Packs? For what purpose?
