Buying a legit copy of Sims 4

I'm not sure if its in bad taste to ask for the info here on a site of people who host cracked games (which I love and use daily) but I'm looking for some information on how I should go about switching from the GTW version of the game to a legit one. I know that I won't be able to use any of the cracked expansion and stuff packs but I wanted to know if I could at least keep the save files? I was thinking I could just copy the folders before uninstalling the GTW version and then pasting them back once I have the legit version ready. Any tips?

Your saved games are located at Documents > The Sims 4 > saves, copy that someplace safe and you'll be good to go.

Hi there,

Just to be sure, you can copy the whole Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4\ folder, in case you have Mods and Custom Content too.
