Camtasia Studio 8.0 Trial Version? [SOLVED]

Thanks for the hint nonetheless though - but is the space at the end of "ValidationData1=" supposed to be empty ? Either way, editing the .txt file that way didn't work out. But as long as I can use the program with the internet disconnected I'm fine.

Yes, go ahead if you like.   It's indeed possible that the newer program version has a different licensing/registration system than the G4TW version of it.

Alright, thanks again.   If the G4TW version works otherwise fine if you disconnect the internet before starting up the program, then it can still be used of course, but then without the latest patch for the program. I'm going to wait a little more (and try doing some more testing of the program with the internet disconnected), then I'll put a notice about this in the Fixes (PC) section.

Yes, in that case you may end up with problems.   I tried blocking the program in the Windows firewall, but it didn't work. It still tries to connect to the internet. There may be (better) third-party firewalls for these purposes, but we'll see. Thanks for the feedback though !

Scratch that, I just opened it a second time with the internet disconnected and it put me on the trial version because it couldn't validate the key.

So even with the internet off it doesn't work, this is so weird

The current reinstall only gave me a 5 day trial so I'm guessing the next time i do its not going to work at all.
