Using just the (cracked) Sims2EP9.exe, placing it in the TSBin, and overwriting the existing file should work as well though.

After the last ZLOrigin update this procedure will lead to "Origin is not installed" strangely enough.
Let ZLOrigin repair your game and you can play it online and offline without any additional tricks or fixes.

Another reason to think about more conventional cracked downloads again, at least in my (unimportant) opinion.
