Zoo tycoon 2 problems - SOLVED

Hello,

I have some trouble installing and playing Zoo Tycoon 2.
First I have tried to install it properly with the set up. It says: 1628: Failed to complete installation.
After that fail I have tried autorun, but that was in vain as well: 1628: Failed to complete installation
I even tried to compatibility modus to windows vista and other windows, but that did not work either. 
Last have I tried to play the game without installing (inclusive the crack version) using zt and startup as well, and it crashes when I click on 'misty springs'. Perhaps this is the only item that will trigger crashes, but I doubt that.


Can anyone please help me?

I fixed it! It seems that you have to change the compatibility modus of autorun.exe to Windows Vista and select 'execute program as admin'. The game will start then and there are no crashes when I click on the 'misty springs'.
Only run the game with autorun.exe. 

I don't know if this will hold, but it looks promising.

Mine seems to freeze up and crash when I click on the Dinosaur Rock Shelter.
