Zoo tycoon 2 can't install.

Hi, i was wondering if someone could help me with this, i downloaded zoo tycoon but cant seem to install it, it runs through almost all of the install but then it reaches a point where it says "publishing product information" and thats when it stops the download giving me the error on the picture cant find a way to make it work, also if i just run the game on the "files" folder it will run but it doesnt have the marine mania buttons, i cant make tanks and those type of things, any help would be appreciated.

Make sure at first that you have all available Windows updates downloaded and installed. So - after that step, try re-extracting the contents of the .rar download file into a fresh folder located on your Desktop. And then try running the installer again, from the Desktop. If you have not tried that already, I mean.

P.S. I know it is stated in the guide that I linked to, but I would still try installing the game properly before resorting to "running the game directly".
