Service Initialization Failed (0x024e424f)

Hi!

So, whenever I try to open the game (from TS3) that message pops up, and if I try to open it from TS3W, it just stops responding. I've downloaded everything from G4TW, including the manual patches and the ultimate fix.
The games I've downloaded:

- The Sims 3
- The Sims 3 World Adventures
- The Sims 3 Ambitions
- The Sims 3 Generations
- The Sims 3 Pets
- The Sims 3 Showtime

I don't know if that has something to do with it, but I haven't downloaded Origin, and at some point a pop-up appeared saying one of the patches may have not been installed correctly.

And one last thing, in step 9 of WA installing "9. Start the The Sims 3 launcher. You'll get a message that you're version of the Game is not compatible. Click 'OK'. You're now on the Update window. Check the box inf front of the 'SIms3_2.5.12.004002_from_2.0.86.00.2002.exe' and click 'Update now'." I didn't get the not-compatible message, nor the option to install that patch.

Ok, I've already done that, but it doesn't seem to fix the problem. I keep having the same problems after re-downloading both files. What should I do?

Well, no, I don't have any mods or custom contents installed.

I guess you are talking about the base game crack, so here it is. I can't get all files in one screenshot, so I took two. The first one finishes below the Sims3 Configuration Options, and that's where the second shot starts (I've marked it with red).




It's in Spanish, so if you have any problems just tell me. The path is C:/Program Files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin

You need to remove the TS3EP01 and TS3EP02 files from there and then re-apply the manual patch. That should fix the problem.

I just did it, but it didn't fix anything, I keep having the same problem.

OK, make a copy of your save games folder (and your downloads folder if you have installable CC files in it) from My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and save it someplace safe like the desktop.

Now delete the Sims 3 folder (My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3) and relaunch the game. It may take a few minutes as the Sims 3 folder is being regenerated by the game, it should continue to load and let you play but if it doesn't just post back and we'll try a few more solutions.

After I delete I have to crack it again before launching the game, or just open it and crack it later? And delete just the base game folder or all the expansions' too?

No, if you didn't use the Ultimate Fix after applying the manual update then do so now. Then go to your My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 folder and, after copying the Saves folder somewhere safe, delete the entire Sims 3 folder (My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3) from that location ONLY. You should not be in C:/Program Files when you delete the sims 3 file.

No, still not working. I've already updated the game with the patch about 6 hours ago, and deleted the Sims 3 folder en My Documents. Maybe it's just the crack? It's the one from the Ultimate Fix, but it doesn't seem to work.
