service initialization failed (0x024e424f)

Hi I've searched through the forum and found some threads
on this but none of them have been relevant to my problem
I have installed The Sims 3 and The Sims 3 Generations following
all the steps detailed in the 'How to' and yes I have copied the
cracks from the '# crack' folder into the directory
'C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin'
When I launch the game I get a black screen and a popup error
message saying 'Service initialization failed (0x024e424f)'

I have also applied the manual patch to update to 1.33

Even though you already updated to 1.33, please try as following:

1. Download and install all the expansions you like.
2. When you finished installing everything, download and apply this manual patch: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v133-fix-manual-patch
3. After the manual patch finished updating your game, download the latest version of our Ultimate Fix: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems
4. Open the Fix and open the "# Crack" folder. Drag & drop the .exe and .dll file in there to exactly: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and choose "Replace" on the pop-up that appears, telling you the files already exist.
5. Start the game and let us know the result.

I've just followed those steps and this was the result, that is why I am looking help

Are you sure you used the latest version of the Fix? (Read: re-download and re-apply)

I downloaded the file in the first link for the PC
and copied the .exe and .dll file into the game/bin
folder of the base game but still is not working

No I don't have any mods, I have recently installed the game so I haven't been able to play it yet
I have uninstalled the game and expansions and I have downloaded the game from this website to see if it might have been the torrent that I had.

Thanks. Generations has almost finished downloading
So I install the sims 3 and generations, what should I do after this.
Should I use the cracks that came with the downloads or use the cracks in the 'ultimate fix'?

When done, I recommend doing the following:

1. Download and apply this manual patch: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t1870-can-t-update-the-sims-3-to-v133-fix-manual-patch (Even if it says you're already on version 1.33)
2. When it finished updating, download and apply our Ultimate Fix: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems
3. Start the game and let us know the result.

Just a quick question about The Sims 3 Generations installation
Before the installation starts a message pops up saying I need to update
should I let it update or do I need to use the manual patch before installing?

Ok, so Generations has finished installing. I apply the Ultimate fix now right?
Could you give me a step by step instruction on how to do this? I read the instructions that came with the file and they were really confusing.
I have only installed The Sims 3 base game and the Generations expansion pack.
Sorry if I'm being a pain asking for simple instructions, it's only that last time I tried doing it myself it didn't work

I think the torrents that I downloaded were the problem!

One last question, if I were to download any other expansion packs now what would I need to do for those?

Do I need to re-apply the crack for Outdoor living stuff and World Adventures because of the region thing?
