DO NOT UPDATE TO version 1.50 of The Sims 3 yet! *IMPORTANT*
Hello everyone,
As usual, DO NOT update to the new version 1.50 of The Sims 3 yet, but wait for our Ultimate Fix to be compatible with this new version of the game.
Stay tuned, be patient and DO NOT post your problems and questions in this topic.

Re: DO NOT UPDATE TO version 1.50 of The Sims 3 yet! *IMPORTANT*
Yeah thats a good question...probably rude though, but my games all messed up, says it needs a 70,80,90s cd, so I been waiting for the 1.50 update, see if that works. I'm dying to get back to playing the sims WAHHHH!!!!

My game kept talking about the cd too but then I realized I forgot to put the crack files in. =P

Re: DO NOT UPDATE TO version 1.50 of The Sims 3 yet! *IMPORTANT*
When I messed up everything, I did do the crack files again, it said that. Maybe I should do it again..and again. That's how I got it right the first time I went through this, also after updating to 1.50 I think that I'm not gonna do a update again for like a year or until the sims 4 comes out, and maybe not even then maybe until after all the expansion packs for that comes out then I can do it all together. I'm perfectly content with what I'm playing with (once I update it to 1.50)

it usually takes between 2 to 4 days in my experience since I started using this group's patchesdogtoast wrote:just a quick question how long will it take?
I've heard from some people that have actually bought the game that this update has been breaking things for some people tho, so I'm a little wary of trying it out...

Take into account they are providing you all these games and updates for FREE. So dont feel entitled for them to have to work tirelessly to immediately bring out updates for you. You want updates right away? Go buy the gamekidrock2k12 wrote:the new crack should be out now from you guys whats taking so long

Well I updated before checking the forums..
Guessing there's no way to remove or undo the update haha. So I'll just be patient I suppose.

Re: DO NOT UPDATE TO version 1.50 of The Sims 3 yet! *IMPORTANT*
I really dont think you will lose your game. I have used the ultimate fix plenty of times and never lost my game even in this situation. It should not effect your save files. But if you are worried about it you can copy everything in your saves file and make a backup so you can put them back in if something were to happenjiae wrote:[READ THE OPENING POST]

Re: DO NOT UPDATE TO version 1.50 of The Sims 3 yet! *IMPORTANT*
So wait, even though I downgraded to 1.48 and system restore and my game works, and it says 1.48 that it's still at 1.50? Is that why my sims are gone?

If you downgraded to 1.48 and your game is telling you your still at patch level 1.50 may be that the last patch 1.50 wasnt taken out properly. From what ive herd the only way to remove a patch after its been installed is to reinstall all your games. So this could be the problem your having. Whenever you are trying to remove a patch or do some kind of upgrade by adding mods etc, you should back up your saves. Its really easy and that way youll never lose your content. Try looking in your save files and see if its empty or not. If its empty then youve lost them, but if you see your saves are still in there then maybe theres some way to get them working in game again
//EDIT
By the way i should mention that if you did a
system restore that makes your computer as it was at an earlier date, it
could be that those saves didnt exist at that earlier time and
therefore by doing the system restore you deleted them

If you updated to 1.48 Uninstall it but do not select delete all your sims etc.

What i did is Uninstalled Sims 3 ( Base Game ) and Uninstalled Sims 3 70s 80s 90s Stuff and then reinstalled the Base Game and then the 70s 80s 90s stuff. About the sims are gone Maybe you clicked yes in the " Delete All Save Files Custom Content or whatever eklabush etc " (while uninstalling) If not maybe the system restore affected it.
thatonegirlinthecorner wrote:Ok, let's try looking in the save files, where can I find that at?
You Can find them in >> My Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Saves >(Folder of the save files)
Sorry For my Bad English Hope you understand and i hope i was able to help you.
