:newfag:  Hello, I am a new member here and I am looking for some help. I just registered today after searching through help topics but I am still unsure of what to do.
First off let me say a big THANK YOU for ALL that you do! You are awesome at what you do and tell my friends about your site all the time.

Having said that, I know your site is THE place to come to when it comes to getting Sims 3 stuff but I am completely computer stupid and was wondering if you might be able to perhaps make a guide with descriptions as well as screen shots for us computer challenged peeps. I do realize it’s asking a lot but I really don’t have anyone else to help me with these computer issues.

For example, I was looking over the worlds because I want to download a few of them. I have NO clue what the heck a .rar is all I know is when I click on it my computer says I can’t open it. It’s really frustrating.

Welcome to the Games4theworld Forum!
Screenshots can indeed help a lot. If you could tell me in which guides you'd like to see more screenshots, I can add them.

.rar is a (compressed) file format. It can be opened with a lot of programs, but I recommend using only WinRAR for .rar files you download from Games4theworld. Other programs, like WinZIP and 7-ZIP tend to mess up the files during the extraction.


Moderator edit: besides, opening up more "specialized" forum sections would also require specialized staff. While we can help with lots of "computer-related" things, most of us are far away from being real experts. This topic is closed.
