The Sims 3: Base Game Won't Install. [SOLVED]

Before the Ultimate Sims 3 Fix came out I was super frustrated with the whole game and just uninstalled it all. Now that the fix it out I tried to reinstall it. Before the base game worked just fine but now when I mount and click Run Autorun.exe nothing happens. I re-downloaded the base game but every time I would click the Autorun.exe it refuses to do anything. Help :/? Please and thank you.

First of all, there was no need to reinstall anything.
Secondly, so I understand that you haven't installed the base game yet. Please Mount the first image and right-click on it in "My Computer". (It looks like there's a CD / DVD inserted)
Now, choose "Open" from the menu. You'll see a bunch of files. Double-click on the "Setup.exe". Now wait for the wizard to start and just do as described in the "# Installation Guide.txt".

Thanks for your help, it turns out the file was corrupted so I just had to redownload the file on another site
