Double Checking . . . Empty Double Checking . . .

I think I understand how to do this I just want to double check. Since I already own some of the expansions (all hard disc copies) I use this guide instead of any that are with the torrents. That' it no other special instructions or anything? I don't have any stuff packs so I'm planning to download all of those. The expansions that I do have Ambitions, Generations, Showtime, Supernatural, and University. Anything I'm missing or guides/topic I didn't see telling how to do this?
