Sims 3 family ideas? Empty Sims 3 family ideas?

Post by Guest Thu 28 Mar 2013, 07:43

I am sooo bored with the sims lately, it's bad. After just 20 minutes, (15 creating the sims - 5 actually playing the game) I get really bored with it. I use cheats all the time and can't help myself so that may be why I'm bored. I normally just create one sim or a big family with the same stuffs. So please give me some new ideas! Very Happy FYI: I hate going to college. It's so hard to keep the performance meter at 50%. It goes down when I sleep (not much at all), my sims always get stressed, etc. So University is not fun for me.
Also, I suck at building houses. I'm so bad that .. well I don't know but I'm terrible lol. I only do sqaure houses and can't landscape them.

Any help with either/both of these things would be amazing!! The Sims Plumbob 1 Very Happy

Expansions I have installed:
High End Loft Stuff
Ambitions
Late Night
Generations
Pets
Master Suite Stuff
Seasons
University Life

if you really get bored..try max out one of your sim's skills.
BTW next time you're on university, use the "make needs static" cheat so that you are able to study for a whole day without interruptions.. also there is a life time perk that allows you to get better grades in school work without "putting in effort" (exact words in the description box)..i forgot the name of it but just have a look under the work & school category or skills category.. have fun Sims 3 family ideas? 1577371209

Make Needs Static is such a great cheat! I'm really enjoying the blogging aspect of UL even when my sims not away at school! Why don't you try a legacy challenge or try playing the game without cheats (including motherlode)?

Totally understand! I only have it on my pc because my daughter loves playing it, although lately it's been very wishy washy and error 12'ing out the butt, so she hasn't played it in a week Sad A bummer but I keep updating and keep on installing new content when it comes available... *shrug*

Hello,

I really think you should stop using cheats. I used to use cheats all the time on The Sims 2 and I got really bored with it because it wasn't challenging at all anymore. With cheats, it's simply too easy.
What you could do, aside from not using cheats, is try one of the challenges. You can find the rules with Google, for example the legacy challenge, or the apocalypse challenge.

As for building houses, stop building the house first, start by placing your basic furniture and build the rooms around it. That's how I learned to build houses on The Sims. Or use Google to find floor plans from existing homes to inspire. Look here for example. That's what I do when I don't know what to build next.

Totally agree! Don't use cheats unless absolutely necessary! I don't know how to build a house too! I used to buy an existing furnished house and add a few furnitures to decorate the house! One day, I built a large house with large dining room and living room plus two large bedroom! It was the first house I have ever made and i am proud of it! The house was more like a functional house rather than a decorated house! Anyway, my sim got a strange moodlet, Creeped Out (negative moodlet) from socialization! Don't know why but maybe that is because he listened to ghost story!
