World Adventures Patches Help

While trying to install World Adventures I got to step 5 and 6:

5. Now open the 'Crack 3' folder and start the 'Sims3_1.2.7.00002_from_1.0.631.00002.exe'
patch.
6. Do the same with the other .exe Patches in the 'Crack 3' folder, from up to down.

Now I've clicked on the files several times but when I do, the install wizard says this:
The wizard was interrupted before The Sims­­ 3 could be completely patched.
To patch this program at a later time, please run the patch again.
Click Finish to exit the Setup wizard.

Do I need to update? My game version is 1.50.56.021002 and under 'Update' button it says 18.0.126.021001, wouldn't the patches have already come in it? I don't understand how that works exactly...
