Saints Row II.
Hello all,
So, a year or 1-2 ago I saw that this Game was being released. I saw the trailers etc. and it looked like an awesome Game. After that I just forgot about this Game... until the begin of summer 2010. I saw a special discount on Steam: 70% off! I didn't even think of not buying it, I just bought it instantly, for about 5-7 EUR. (In the stores the Game costs about 40-55 EUR)
When playing it in the beginning, I noticed that it looked like a copy of GTA IV. Only the graphics looked a little bit less good. After a while the Game became extremely boring, so I stopped playing Saints Row II and went back to GTA IV.
After a while GTA IV was getting boring too, so I decided to play Saints Row II for a while. I began to do missions etc. and from that moment on I couldn't stop playing any more. I can tell you this: Saints Row II ís better than GTA IV. The Gameplay is fár better, if you like the team/ clan / Mafia -life games. There are a lot of cool features in the Game. You're the boss of your "Clan" and all your clan member will protect you with their life. As soon as you start a fight, they'll help you and you can even recruit up to 4 clan members to follow you wherever you go. These will be your "Personal bodyguards".
The missions are just great; you'll explore the world and fight againt other clans, as you gain reputation. Eventually you'll kill an entire clan!
Also a cool feature: you have your own "Clan" chill place: a secret hangout for your clan / crew. Also you can buy new cribs (Villa's, apartments etc.) for yourself and your clan. You'll certainly feel the team -spirit and that is what I love the most about this great title. I think it's certainly better than GTA IV, except for the Graphics and the realistic cars.
The Multiplayer is so bad, I won't even discuss it here.
If you like Games in which you're not alone and you have a whole clan behind you, this title is certainly worth buying!

Yes, I was doubting about getting it. How was it? Would you like to write a review about it and tell me more about it? (And why I should buy it, of course)

i own it and i can say this
the game is brilliant in a vast amount of ways
dont pass upt the chance to own it because one gang is anime inspired
and you get to explore a new city
VASTLY improved graphics
if you liked the prequel, enjoyed the story and want to see what volition have up their sleeves look at a gameplay video or a trailer you get to be a toilet for peat sake not a toilet costume i mean a floating toilet!

Re: Saints Row II.
Whether Saints Row in general is better than GTA is debateable, but I know one thing:
With Volition, I know exactly what I'm buying. With Rockstar, I sort of have to guess based on the 2 or 3 cinematic trailers they release for every game....
So yeah, I know one person here who will be pre-ordering Saints Row IV and telling GTA V to take a walk.
