Sims 3[Seasons]. [SOLVED] Empty Sims 3[Seasons]. [SOLVED]

After i installed Season EP . I keep crashing to desktop when i try to save/after finishing building . This is really irritating coz sometimes when i play like 2-3hrs and some of my sim's skills are alr lvl10 when i try to save ...Shazaam !! it crashes . Does anyone have a solution ?Smile

Hello,

Some time ago (when "Showtime" came out), I had a similar problem. The thing could be this: what "crack"-files are you using ? You should always use the #crack from the "Ultimate fix". Also, after every crash you should make sure to delete the contents of the folder "Currentgame.sims3" before restarting the game (in Windows you can find that folder in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3). In that "The Sims 3" folder, you'll also find "cache files", which should be deleted regularly:

-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-plus the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"

Also: does this only happen in Build/Buy-mode ? I would also suggest that you basically shorten your playing sessions and save in short intervals. Then exit the game for a while before restarting.

Sometimes it happen after i build/buy,sometimes when i try to save . Btw i dont have WorldCaches and for the thumbnails,is it the one from My document or the sims 3 dir ?

All the cache files I showed you can be found in (My) documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3. Have you tried alread the things in the link that Shamrock posted above ? What might be unclear from that link is that with the "4 GB patch", you're supposed to patch the "TS3W.exe" file in C:/ Program files/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Game/Bin (= the Sims 3 base game location).
Then there is the more general stuff like fully updating your OS, graphics drivers, etc. But I'm not sure if this can be the cause of crashings too.

Otherwise I would suggest you try shortening your playing sessions to see if this can make any difference.
