Some weird stuff happening.
Hi by the way. Love this place.
Alright, here's the skinny. I got a new laptop, and have attempted to install the Sims 3, all expansion packs and all stuff packs (apart from Katy Perry because it's crap) and have followed the install instructions to the tee, three times after a complete uninstall, twice. Island Adventures installed, I apply the Ultimate Fix and launch. I am getting the "Error during startup. See log for more detail." So I mosey my way on over to the thread about said issue. I was confused, not that I can't follow simple instructions, but that I was being asked to delete the registry files for games I have uninstalled, when I haven't uninstalled anything. Quite the contrary, I'm just trying to christen this laptop. So on a whim I apply the crack from "All Expansions after Generations" folder just to see what it does. The Launcher pops up just fine, but the Expansions/Stuff Packs past Showtime are greyed out. It is indeed updated to the proper 1.55.4.022017. I tried to launch the game via the bin folder because I detest the launcher and it's mocking interface with it's bloated welcome screen and shiny store items, and the game launches. Except, of course, it launches Showtime. I remember quite well installing newer expansions. In the game itself, there are no neighborhoods or even options available to click on. And that's where I stopped, as I was a bit baffled.
So, any help on my solving this quandary? Should I attempt an uninstall and re-install again? Or should I regedit everything after Showtime and try and install the latter again? It's troubleshooting time me thinks. I'll update as I play around a bit more. I got time to burn right?
Edit: It appears as if my Seasons expansion I have is.... wonky. That's what I get for having a version not provided by Games4theworld. Everything other than Seasons is installed and running smooth. Thanks for being my bouncing board. I swear this is embarrassing. I wish I was a noob just so I can have a legitimate excuse for being... noobish.

Hello,
Have you applied the content in the #crack folder in the Ultimate Fix after applying the content in the "All expansion packs released after and including Generations" folder? This should be done as well.

Thanks so much for your prompt reply.
Alas, yes I did. I just now again attempted to re-apply the ultimate fix. Before the # Crack was applied, the same issue with my launcher only showing through Showtime installed, and after I copied the files over again, the same error during startup flashed at the launcher.

Hello,
Can you show me screenshots of where you placed the #crack in?

Re: Some weird stuff happening.
So, I was toying around again, and I un-installed everything past Showtime. Re-patched and Ultimate-ed it, and it runs. The launcher works, the game works without a hitch, I just only have up to Showtime installed. So, I am going to attempt to install the expansions one at a time, Ultimate it, troubleshoot. It may be possible that when I transferred my folder containing my game Isos from one computer to the new, a corruption happened? Perhaps. Most Isos I have are from Games4theworld, but a few are not, so I'll see.
