Island Paradise update issues... i'm desperate

Hello there;
I'm new here. I don't usually have any problems with cracking the games, or installing them. But this time nothing works... I have installed on my PC the base game, ambitions, generations, pets, supernatural, seasons and university. No problems until then. 
I downloaded Island Paradise today, tried to install it, but the game won't update. I tried the ultimate fix, still doesn't wanna update. Then I tried the manual patch, still doesn't work. It seems that indeed, nothing works.
I use no custom contents, and no mods.
Is unistalling all the games and re-installing them my only option?

I had the same problem and successfully used EA's super patch last week, applied the G4TW Ultimate Fix and then installed Island Paradise yesterday. Stayed up about 3 hours longer than I wanted playing it too.

Every solution i find on the internet is always the same manual update to the 1.55 version, but still doesnt work for me... EA's super patcher is basically the manual patch (if i'm not wrong) and i tried it one more time, still doesnt work. I have this message that says "an error occured during the installation. Make sure you ended any other installation and closed all the other applications. If the error occures again, contact your retailer, blablabla"

Sorry about the double post, but I may have some new information:  I used the Sims_3_Patch_Log_Viewer from Modthesims, and it's telling me that my file TSW3.exe is invalid in Game>bin. I tried replacing it again with the one in the ultimate fix, then to try to update my game with the launcher... but my launcher tells me that i can't use the launcher while an update is installing. wtf?
I might as well try to unistall everything and reinstall it all over again.

I got a email back, they told me "In order to fix your problem, open the Support\Updates\ folder in the .rar file for Island Paradise you downloaded.
In there you'll find the manual patch for version 1.55 of The Sims 3. Run it and after that install the game itself - it should all work fine now."
I did the instructions and its stilll not working out for me very well. but im trying again.

Yeah, already tried that. Actually, it's the first thing i tried, when i saw the comments on the torrent on ThePirateBay... The update just won't work. I always get an error message in the end. I searched for many solutions, but nothing works. I'm currently unistalling everything to reinstall it, i'll keep you updated weather it works or not.

im hoping it worked but im not holding my breath, im still waiting for it.

WAIT ITS WORKING. IM INSTALLING THE GAME NOW. al i did was followed his directions. the second time it installed the window just closed and i didnt get a message or anything so i just tried to install the game again and it worked! i dont really know why or if i did anything different then you but ill see if it installs all the way

Even freshly installed, with no other expansion packs, it doesn't work for me. The Launcher won't even appear when i launch it, and now my PC lags like crazy..screw it.
Goodbye, Sims...
Really? can't anyone help me? 

Not sure which patch you guys used. The superpatch I downloaded and got to working was twice the size of the offline patch that was linked here at G4TW.

Solved the error problem. I re-extracted the files and replaced two of them. It's now installing
