Island Paradise help!

Okay, so I have just installed Island Paradise and made a family in Isla Paradiso, I moved them in to a houseboat but I saved the game and exited out of it but when I went on the same neighborhood after, the Portrait Panel started being annoying, I cannot select on my other sim, I have two sims but when I click on the other one in Portrait Panel it just stays selected on my current selected sim, thing is the game has reset everything for my other sim, when I check the relationship between my current selected sim and the one that cannot be selected they  don't know each other at all now, first I thought it was a mod problem but the only mods I have are Nraas and they're all updated to the latest patch 1.55, so yea this is annoying, I would appreciate help!

If so, it might be a problem with the cache. Go to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3, and delete the following:
¤ CASPartCache.package
¤ compositorCache.package
¤ scriptCache.package
¤ simCompositorCache.package
¤ socialCache.package
Then, also delete the folders WorldCaches, and Thumbnails.
Does this help?

If you have custom content and package files, remove them and just try playing with the installed stuff. Start a new test game and see if things happen again after youve done all that. If so, it's not cc or the package files messing with the game.

Have you tried moving your family to a new house?

 ¤ socialCache.package - what kind of information does this .package holds?
I know what the rest contains, but not much usefull information outthere about this file 

They will be recreated automatically by the game...
It holds temporary information about your Page, SimPort and all other new stuff that came with Showtime.

Ofcause, socialChache.package=Simport data. And easy can this system get  thanks for the info!

The game worked fine after I deleted custom content and mods. But it's kinda annoying that I can't play with any mods . Does this happen to much people?

It's not that you can't play with mods or custom content, it's just that sometimes one or two are corrupted or not up to date with the new game.

You can check them manually though by adding 10 in and see if those cause problems. If not then add 10 again. Keep doing that til you find the one that gives problems. You know itll be in the last 10 you added so move those in one by one and check after each add. You'll find it pretty fast which of the 10 are causing the problem.

Okay, so I deleted Nraas Portrait Panel and Relationship Panel mod and the game now works! I'm going to test other mods with the game, and update you all.

It's looking good so far, I've added a few more mods and everything works!
