Sim cannot perform any actions

Hello,
My sims suddenly can't perform any actions. I have tried renaming the folder in documents -> electronic arts as suggested in the topic "can't perform actions [solved]" (which is now closed therefore I had to create a new topic), but when I try to play the game all my save games and families are gone! Is there any other way to solve this issue? My game version is 1.55.4.

Hello,

Try to sort out all your saves from the Saves folder in your renamed Sims 3 folder and place them in the Saves folder of the brand-new Sims 3 folder.

And, hold Ctri+Shift+C at the same time. Type testingcheatsenabled true and type enter. And then hold the same keys again and this time type resetsim (your sims' name, type them one by one each time when using this command)

Copying the saves to the Saves folder worked, thank you.
However I don't notice any changes after I used the two commands (except for the sim popping up a different place).
Also, after interacting with the baby (even when the sim ignores the actions I give her) my sim starts to ignore all the other actions as well! (also the actions that have nothing to do with the baby).
The resetSim command does not work for me

Could my problem have anything to do with caches?
