Sims 3 : Paradise Island Problem

Hey guys,
I have always downloaded all the sims 3 expansions without problems.
Now I installed the new one, the sims 3 Paradise Island.
When I was installing it, everything went well, the game installed, my manual patch and ultimate fix was OK.
Now when I open the launcher and press the play button,
My sims 3 goes very slow...a black screen pops up and it loads for ever..
I have waited almost an hour..and it still does not work.
Can someone please help me with this issue?

Hello,

Do you have mods? If yes, are they updated? If no, delete all of them and then add the updated ones.

Or move the whole ''Electronic Arts'' folder in ''My documents'' to your desktop or anywhere else, run the game, and see if it works.

Hello,

What about your system specifications ? Are you playing on a laptop or a desktop computer ? And what about your graphics drivers ? Are they up-to-date ?

Also go to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and delete the following things:

-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-plus the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"

After that, you might re-start your computer. Then lower the resolution of your computer screen to 1024 x 768). Now start the game again and see if that changed anything.

OK, it seems to work now!
I just noticed that some cc is gone..
but if that makes the game work, then it's fine !
