Can't launch Sims 3 after installing Movie Stuff
I recently installed Movie Stuff from G4TW. I've applied the ultimate fix twice now and i can't launch Sims 3. Every time that I attempt it, I get the no game disc found error. Could someone please help?

Similar problems on my end. I don't even get the game launcher to open. Help would be lovely.

I was able to figure it out. Nraas has a No-CD mod that works great. All you have to do is install the package file. You have to launch the game directly, though. Meaning, you can't launch the game from the launcher.

I'm having the sames problems with a different expansion. What do you mean "directly"? Please help

When i say directly, I mean that you need to create a shortcut from the TS3W file in the Base game's programs folder. If you launch it that way instead of from the launcher, it should work!

In case you didn't read the whole thing, I've tried the ultimate fix many times. I even uninstalled all of the expansions + the base game, re-installed them all, then applied the ultimate fix, but it still didn't work. I wasn't able to find any other solution, especially with no help.

Hello,
If you insist that you correctly applied the manual patch and the "Ultimate fix" (a.k.a. the steps from 2 to 4 here), then there aren't many explanations left; in fact, the only realistic explanation is that your anti-virus program kept deleting the Ultimate fix files, in which case you have to completely shut off that program.
I'm also sorry that you waited so long without getting a response from one of us Helpers/Mods. But right now, we have a serious shortage of Helpers and Moderators. At the moment, the only regularly contributors here in the "PC section" of The Sims games are me and Shamrock. Unfortunately, this means we cannot handle all requests in time, and it's posible that we "overlook" problems.
That said, I'm glad you found an "indirect" solution to this problem yourself.
