turkey neck. [SOLVED]
hi all
so i have a bit of an issue in CAS with my sims necks but not exactly in the same way everyone else seems to have. basically my sims have the dreaded turkey neck issue a la:
and so i went on a frantic search looking for every possible jaw/chin/neck slider possible (tried Heiret, wojtek, aWT etc.) but nada. did a clean install, tried with no mods or cc, tried with mods and cc, and bin sims but again nada. The best I can tweak it to (with the help of awt's soften jawline and chin to neck slider) is something a bit like this but far more pronounced:
I'm currently playing on win 7 via bootcamp on a mac and am updated to the latest patch.
couldn't seem to find anyone with the same issue but figured if anyone had any suggestions, that'd be amazing
and if not, i can learn to live with my turkey sims and maybe even grow to love them.
but anyway, thanks in advance!

Hello there,
I have a similar (but even worse) problem with one of my sims: every now and then, her face gets a bit "distorted", but amazingly this distortion disappears after a while.
So you could try that too: play on for a while and see if this "thing" goes away.
Otherwise I don't have an explanation for that, except that it could be caused by a "slider" or a custom skin.
And you did a "clean install" ? Do you mean you un-installed your Sims 3 ? Well, that's a bit too much, in my opinion also because during "normal" play you can't see that bulge. For now, I would take this as a small bug, and play on.

Re: turkey neck. [SOLVED]
Have the same problems with some sims. It could be a result of tweaking too many sliders (head width, head size, neck length, and chest) so try not to go to extremes on the scale. Hope this helps

Re: turkey neck. [SOLVED]
haha nah the clean install was purely coincidental because my computer crapped out on me but i found it interesting to see it was still there after and so had to be a game bug as opposed to a cc/mod issue
thanks for the quick responses guys! i'll give playing it for a bit a go

Re: turkey neck. [SOLVED]
yep pretty much solved
for anyone else with the same problem, i've found that with some sims, for whatever reason, the issue is alleviated so it's just a matter of random rolling i guess and don't go anywhere near a chin to neck slider haha
thanks for all the help everyone !
