STUCK IN ULTIMATE FIX + "Service initialization failed 0x0175dcbb"
I'm on the 2nd last step of the ultimate fix where I apply the update after transfering all the folders, and the game update on the launcher does show up "TS3P03_6.5.1.011031_Update.exe" but even after checking it and clicking "Update Now", nothing happens. No new box or anything. It's as if I didnt click the button. Can someone please tell me why this is happening?
>>BTW The update I am talking about is the one I have to apply before i do the Final folder transfer from the #crack folder to the base game

I just did and finished the steps to the Ultimate Fix but now when I click the play button the screen turns black and looks like the game is going to launch but then it crashes and a popup comes up saying the Sims has stopped working. What can I do to fix this?
//EDIT
Every time I click the TS3W.exe file, I get the error message saying: "Unable to start game. Service initialization failed 0x0175dcbbThen when I try to launch the game through the game launcher, the game crashes. HELP PLEASE ((
Helper edit: OK, I haven't seen your other topic here. I think it will be better in your case to merge the two topics of yours.

Hello there,
Did you use the crack from the Ultimate fix ? Or the one that was included in the expansion you downloaded ? Please use only the crack from the "Ultimate fix". And if you used the manual patch for updating, then it's enough to use the two files from the #crack folder in the Ultimate fix (TS3W.exe + TSLHost.dll).
If you still get that problem, then there is only one option left: namely a clean un-install of everything. You can either do that manually (for example, look at this here: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title=Game_Help:TS3_Uninstall). Or you might try a good un-install program, like "REVO Uninstaller" (google for that; and maybe it's available on Piratebay too).
Good luck !

That tool is not going to work if you have a non-English version of Windows (it might work if you change the language of the registry, but you may have to ask another Helper for that).
As far as your "Service initialization failure" is concerned, there aren't many options left then, I'm afraid. One theoretical possibility would be to add the filepath of the two crack files from the "last step" in the installation guide (TS3W.exe + TSLHost.dll) to the "exceptions" of your anti-virus software. (If I haven't mentioned it yet, NEVER use the cracks that are included in the expansions; always use the crack from the Ultimate fix).
But what I think is that you missed something in the un-install guide I showed you above; if you are in doubt, then re-read it.
Otherwise there is no other possibility.

My Windows is english version and I only used the crack folder from the ultimate fix file, so I'm thinking its probably the uninstallation where I went wrong. The link you send me for the uninstall guide isn't working, it says under the title: "there is currently no text in this page" so I just used the uninstall tool you told me about. I think I'll just uninstall again. Could you send me a different link for the guide, please?

OMG, I made a small mistake when posting the link above. Sorry for that one.

Thank you:) I uninstalled it with that guide and reinstalled it again, now the game finally launches But I'm afraid I've come across another problem; every time I'm in Create a Sim mode, halfway through creating my sim, the game crashes. Any tips on how could I fix this?

Delete the folder Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3.
Then restart your game!

Re: STUCK IN ULTIMATE FIX + "Service initialization failed 0x0175dcbb"
Hello,
This is a common problem, and you may not be able to fix it, but there are several things to try.
Since it crashes in CAS mostly, it could be that there's too much to load as you start creating your sim. You can use Master Controller to simplify your CAS screen. Your game will then load only one of each CAS part, instead of 3+ variations of the same pants/shirts/shoes etc.
If that doesn't help, try these possible solutions.

The error with the tool means either you don't have the latest version of the Ultimate Fix, or you don't have the latest version of the tool.
Please retry with both...
