The Sims 3 Pets Menu Problem

Hi, 
    I installed about 5 expansion packs all from Games4TheWorld and they all worked fine until I downloaded Pets. I did exactly as the instructions told me to do....just like the other expansions as a matter of fact, it starts normally, loads normally, doesn't have any error messages or pop-ups, but when I come to the point to choose the town and the family, nothing comes up!! All the buttons are useless, if I press the new game button, it just turns to a grey colour. There are no towns in the drop-down, and when I press the triple-dot in the bottom left, the options turn up but they are blank!!! 
    Also, in the other expansion packs, I had a family and normally, after installing any expansion, it still would be available on the main menu screen. But not in this case!! It is as if I have never started any family. In the town section, there isn't even Sunset Valley!!
    I apologize if this problem was already answered or asked before but I couldn't find a similar problem.

That's the only way to make it work...

I installed mine in my native language (Dutch), and it works fine. So I don't think you necessarily need an English game language.

I solved the problem  Instead of applying the Pets crack, I used the crack of the other expansion and it worked fine . Thanks anyway
