How to install expansions when im using origins. [SOLVED]

I need some assistance
If have a legit copy of sims 3 base game already, can i still use the expansion pack torrents with it, if so, could you give me a detailed instruction on how to and what to actually use in the pack, as im downloading your packs that have "games4theworld" marked on them, just to be safe.
P.s the Sims 3 base game is in origin
already had a failed attempt at it, it made the normal base game load up as the 'showtime' expansion even tho i didnt want it to so i un installed it and that left sims 3 base game knackered so im having to re download the damn thing.
Luckily i have a backup of my saves

Hey!
Please install all your expansions and stuff packs, without using any crack.
If your game is not already 1.55, update it or use the Manual Patch.
Then download the Ultimate Fix, and copy the files in the #Crack folder to C:\Program Files(x86)\Origin\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.
That's it, your game should be working.

my game has only just finished downloading and installing, its now updating

so i may be a while as its 1.3 gb

Sorry, I would have done it without a problem, but I'm leaving in 20min for holidays.
