Can't install katy perry on sims 3 for mac

I can't seem to install the katy perry since my base game is not up to date? Then I can't also update in the launcher so I downloaded the ultimate fix but I don't know how to apply. The installation guide says that I need to install at least one of the expansions packs but how can I install if it needs to be up to date.  Help

Please read carefully to check the region of your game before downloading the corresponding region patch.


After updating, install your expansion.

Lastly, apply the Ultimate Fix by following the Mac Guide.
