Mass Effect 2 Code 2 error

Hey so I'm trying to install me2. Everytime I download this it corrupts on extraction using winrar. Heres the error messages:
! D:\music\Mass Effect 2.rar: CRC failed in Gamedata\BioGame\Movies\AdvCombat1_PC.bik. The file is corrupt
! D:\music\Mass Effect 2.rar: CRC failed in Gamedata\BioGame\Movies\AdvCombat3_PC.bik. The file is corrupt
! D:\music\Mass Effect 2.rar: CRC failed in data-a.bin. The file is corrupt


Then I tryo to install me2 and get:
Error During the extraction of one or several files.
Click Retry to try again or Cancel to Cancel Installation.
ERROR: Try to use /SHOWERROS commandline parameter to see detailed error message
CODE: 2

I have downloaded the files from many places and keep gettin this error. Please help.

Uh, try disabling you're ANTI-VIRUS. Or when you press "Extract Files" try checking the box that say's "Keep Broken Files"..

Please open the .rar file you downloaded using only WinRar, which can be downloaded from www.games4theworld.org . (If you use any other software than WinRar, like WinZip or 7-zip, the files will get messed up!)
When you've opened the file using WinRar, select áll the files in it and drag & drop them to a folder on your Desktop. When the extraction is done, close the .rar file and open the folder on your Desktop.
Now, start by reading the included "# Installation Guide.txt" and you should be able to get the game to work yourself. Good luck!

If you still get the error(s) after this, it means the .rar file is corrupt, caused by a download issue. In that case you can only re-download the torrent, in order to solve your problem.

Admin Ive tried that, thanks for the reply. I dont think it is a bad download as I had it downloaded treid to install and broke. I then tried another download waited a day for it to finish tried it and i get the same error. Any help? Can you link me to a none broke download link.

Hello,

That shouldn't cause any problems. Since you got the "Corrupt" error, it means there was an error during the download process, note the download itself.
Just and example: if you're downloading a file, but your PC's power suddenly fails, you might get a "Corrupt" file. Nothing you can do about it, other than re-downloading it.
