can't update launcher [SOLVED]

i can't update the sims 3 launcher, i clicked refresh (as the installation guide says) and a new update appeared but when i clicked the update button nothing happens.
Is there another way of updating it or am i doing/or did something wrong?

Have you installed the EA downloadmanager? And given it the necessary permissions in your firewall? You need the downloadmanager to update your game.

Hello,
Also, you first have to select the update and then press "Update". So first check the box in front of the new update.

i had eadm but now i have origin, i couldn't open eadm because it was asking for me to change it to origin.
And i did check the box in front of the update nothing happens.

Download and install the update that shows manually. (Seach for it on Google)
