Problems with Late Night...I THINK

So, I've been at this a while and I had all the normal problems other people had with installation and came here and found my solutions but I've never seen this one: My game has been slightly jacked since I installed Late Night. It got a little better after the updates but I wonder if it's becuz of the version of Late Night that I originally downloaded. I'd like to replace it but I don't want to lose my games! Sad

Problems include: My SIMS get stuck and disappear, in two games they started cloning and the clones would show up at my parties and ruin everything!!! They flip out of actions, and get bounced around the board and once the labels disappeared off the map for one Sim. I'll admit it's been kinda fun trying to get around all that (and usually succeeding!) but I can't advance past a certain point which means I'm missing out on lots of parts of the game. I'm pretty sure it's the Late Night - not positive but it's the Late Night features, particularly, that get weird. If I have to lose my games, that's ok but is it possible to save them?

First of all; 1. do you have Generations installed?
2. Did you apply any Mods / CC to the game?

You can backup your saves here: (My) Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Saves

Hi!

Yes! 1. I do have Generations installed. I'm sorta under the impression that's a must.... I went all through the recent updates. and 2. Not as far as I know. and THREE! Thanks! That's good to know...
I should mention I have Generations, Late Night, OLS,...and World Adventures (and while I'm at it - can I drop world adventures? I think the tombs are glitchy...or my system is too frail to support it, possibly)

Please post a screenshot of your launcher.
Also try putting all game settings on the lowest, restart the game and see if it makes any difference.

I see you have uploads files. Are you sure you don't have anything downloaded for the game?

Yeah - the uploads are just ingame pictures.

To be honest, I don't have any more solutions, other than trying to run the game in windowed mode and see if it makes any difference.

That's cool - I just thought I'd see if anything hit a nerve. Now I know my games will save that's the big thing so thanks:)

funny cuz I know the answer now. I was creating households with the same
name...like a daughter would marry and move and her new house would
have the same name as her dad's. That's bad. Never do that.

Hello,
If you're playing Bridgeport, that would explain some of the issues you've been having. Particularly getting stuck and disappearing. You can get around that by resetting them periodically. To reset them all, use resetsim, to reset a particular sim, use resetsim [firstname] [lastname].
The clones are a result of a small error that can occur when you import families from the bin in edit town mode.
