Re: Sims 3 Create a world problem
You can either:
1 ) Download and install the latest expansion pack (aka Into the Future). (the easiest workaround)
2 ) Download the batch file here. Drag and drop the .world file you created to the batch file and try again. (the second easiest)
3 ) More advancedly, you can try the following:
1. Make a copy of Default.ini in both C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin and C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3 Create A World Tool and also worldbuilder.ini in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\The Sims 3 Create A World Tool.
2. Compare both the copies of Default.ini, if the game version of CAW Default.ini isn't at the same level as the base game (I don't mean the patch level, but the game code level, meaning the XX in the following example: 1.63.4.0XX017). Edit XX in the line Gameversion=1.19.6.0XX037 of CAW's Default.ini so that it's the same as the XX in the line in Gameversion=1.63.4.0XX017 base game.
3. Do the same for the line wbversion=1.19.6.0XX037 in worldbuilder.ini copy. Remember to edit XX only.
4. Use "Save as" to save both files to their default locations.
5. See if Edit In game works.

Re: Sims 3 Create a world problem
So far the second options is working for me, however, the screen is a light blue when i zoom out and all i can see is the buttons for the lot, not the actual world. Any way to fix it?

Re: Sims 3 Create a world problem
Hmm, can you zoom in completely in CAW first before "editing in game"? Zoom in in a way that the CAW render panel becomes completely blue. Then go "editing in game".
