Completely New to This/Not Sure What to Do. [SOLVED]

Hi! I am new to the site and new to downloading torrents, unzipping files, etc. I literally have no clue what to do. Just ugh, absolutely clueless. T_T

So from the topic on how to install TS3 properly, I tried to follow the steps as close as possible but somehow I got mixed up. I installed the Island Paradise torrent. After that, I went through uTorrent and it installed completely. Then I got lost. Is the file turned into a .rar file? It says it did on uTorrent. I downloaded peaZip and when I tried to extract it, it failed saying that the file is being in use. I just didn't understand. I'm downloading the manual patch and it's at 32%.. so I haven't finished the process yet. I don't think I've been doing anything right, honestly.

I'd really appreciate it if someone guides me through this in depth. I apologize for the troubles! >_<

The torrent is finished. 

After that, I extracted the .rar file in WinRar as Cezra said. 

Then I installed the patch. I had an older version because I had to re-install after screwing it up yesterday, heh. 


I downloaded Ultimate Fix.

I opened the Bin folder and the Ultimate Fix, and placed the .exe and .dll into the Bin folder. 


Still, Island Paradise doesn't appear. 

The Installer didn't appear. I've clicked on TS3EP10setup, but when I did that it downloaded fine with the registration code as well.. then when I was about to play it said "No disc was found.." etc.


I tried downloading again and got the error message saying that the base game was incompatible with the expansion pack, so honestly I'm at a loss. I did everything as close as I could. Where did I go wrong?

I found out what the problem was. I didn't replace the .exe and .dll. I replaced it and now it works. Thank you very much.
