Crash issue  Empty Crash issue

Post by Guest Sat 16 Nov 2013, 04:50

I have downloaded the Sims 3 and the Island Paradise expansion pack. But for some odd reason after playing for about an hour it crashes and my entire computer shuts off and I dont know what to do. Helplessly wishing for it to run correctly, I tried again and again and at this point ive had to rebuild and redesign things several times hoping that when I save it, it will not crash again . HELP:help: :newfag:  But I do greatly appreciate all of the help that you guys provide but please help me Ive been playing this game since a kid when Sims 1 first came of the shelves and i was so happy to finally reunite w/ it!

Hello,

First of all: "The Sims 3" is a very demanding game on computers; are you playing it on a laptop ?

The following in this topic might not directly help you; but it's still worth trying if you haven't done it yet:

If you want to do step #3 ("4 GB patch"), then download that patch, double-click on it and choose the TS3W.exe in the base game location.

Beyond this, I'm not sure. One cause of this is overheating; so you might want to let your computer get checked.

Can you try shortening your playing sessions for a while ? I know this might be a bit difficult, but try playing for about 45 real-life minutes or so, then exit the game for a while, before you re-start the game.

Let us know how it went !

//EDIT

Also, does it matter if you lower your in-game graphics settings ?
