Sims 3 Crash

I just redownloaded and reinstalled all Sims 3 expansions + the base game from Games4theworld, and when I start it up, I get an error about possible bugs due to modifications. Then, after pressing "Continue", I get this:

"Unable to start game Service initialization failed (0x039e8474)"

I've deleted my caches, my custom items, etc. but nothing fixed it. I've searched online as well and all suggestions didn't work.

Do you have any suggestions? Or is this an EA problem that no one knows when it'll be fixed?

A lot of people have this problem, so do I. There is not really a solution to this problem. Try google and see if someone has found a solution so far.

Already did; found nothing :s Someone said uninstalling and removing all CC, then reinstalling works, but I'm not really too keen on testing that because a lot of people say it DOESN'T work, too.

I researched online; apparently it's due to the NoCD crack, 'tis why the Sims 3 base game suddenly gets version 0.0.0.0 . Hopefully the admin can fix this, so that we can bypass this error.

Of course, as I told before, I'll get on this problem as soon as I'm back home. (In about a week) Also I need to answer more than 250 e-mails when I'm back, so I have a lot on my mind when I'm back.
