its like a constant lag!

Ok since the day the farmers set came out (one with cute tractor...and none of my store content is decrapped or i would of blamed that) my game stop after playing for 3minutes, after a few tries at gaming it was a huge FLOP!
Soo i removed my sims 3 folder from the documents and started fresh, didnt put the last saved game in incase i had the same thing again.....but lone be hold same thing happened anyways :s
Started to get really pee'd off so i flashed my computer and started fresh WOO HOO! (not the sims 3 term of woo hoo) oh the joy of installing eh! so i installed all my games back on my computer HAVEN'T put any mods in or store content on what so ever, thought id hop in game see how it plays.....
TAKE FOREVER to load and that just the starting bit! thats not loading the household....anyways 17minutes later i was in game WOOOOOO i made a test sim to get the ball rolling. even CAS took the biscuit, i placed her on a lot and wouldn't ya know IT BLOODY WELL LAGS....all was well before the evil tractor tempted me with the cute tractor rides CURSE YOU EA!!

list of what i have done:

1) Remove any content in the folder: FeaturedItems (made to a read only so i dont get pictures back)
2) Make sure picture and video folder is empty 
3) Delete the xcpt files 
4) Delete the following cache.package files: 
a. CasPartCache.package 
b. compositorCache.package 
c. scriptCache.package 
d. simCompositorCache.package 
e. socialcache.package 
NOTE: do NOT delete userpresets.package 
5) Do NOT delete anything in the DCCache folder! This is where the installed content lives. 
6) Do NOT delete the ccmerged.package file! 
  
i have the above in a document so i dont slip and delete wrong thing

AND

i have tried with Master controller, Over watch and Error Trap......NOPE didnt work 

then i saw Razer to improve gaming experience   ohh thats sounds yummy.....  didnt work

i'm pretty sure it could be something down to my computer...but everything else works fine and i have started fresh, might be i need a new graphics card, but would it really be this bad? if so then i will have a long wait to get a decent graphics card *sighs* i have gone through the forums and see nothing along the lines of what i am experiencing.
Just wanted to know if anyone could point me in the right direction or could help me pin point whats going wrong.

There are still a few things you can do!  

1.  Turn down a few sections/sliders in your graphics of the game.  I've turned down the lot detail to '1' and it really helped a lot of my lag.  I also made water and reflections the second lowest it can go.  Just test and tweak a few things in the graphic department, just to ensure you're good there and no settings are lagging your game.

2.  Move the DCCache folder to your desktop and run the game to test it.  Sometimes you can have corrupt cache files within this folder.  It's normally best not to delete them, however, at times that can't really be helped!

3.  Close other applications on your computer. 
You can find them by hitting ctrl+alt+delete or right-click on your taskbar and pull up "task manager".  Once there, click the 'processes' tab. (Please keep in mind that you should be using this as an option if you are PC/Tech savvy! You've been warned.)
A PC, especially an older one or one that is used frequently, has dozens of applications running silently in the background.  Closing a few may improve your game performance.  NEVER close/cancel programs labeled under "system", "local service" or "network service". 

4.  Try temporarily disabling your firewall and antivirus.  Only do this for a max time of 10 minutes, if applicable.  Run the game when both are disabled to test it.

5. Open the cheat panel (hold down Ctrl+Shift and hit the letter ‘C’) and type:  ResetSims * 
Do this within the game and yes, make sure you add the *.

6. Open your graphics card settings panel (I have NVidia so I have an NVidia program on my pc) and see if you are due for any driver updates.  Updates can make or break quite a few games.  I learned this the hard way months ago when I accidentally UNINSTALLED a driver from my graphics card and went to play Skyrim.  lol.

7.  Last but not least, have you made sure you're at the MINIMUM of required graphics for the game?  This game is extremely demanding on any PC and you need a semi-good one to play on even medium graphics.  You can test your specs by going here and selecting the game from the dropdown menu:   http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri

Well wish i tried some of these before i un-installed them, going to try just the base game see if i can find if its a game, i will tried these steps next  thank you

Oh, ouch.  Chances are uninstalling them will not solve the problem.  I know it may seem that way or you get so frustrated to the point of wanting/actually uninstalling them, however it's never a good idea (nor will it make a difference) to continuously uninstall and reinstall games.  A registry is already made in your PC for The Sims 3 and folders/files are still on your pc, no matter how many times you uninstall the game.  

Regardless, definitely test just the base game and let me know the status of it.

It turned out while installing my graphics card in didnt install directx and now it seems to be running better and now installing them and checking each time one has installed that it still works fine and touch wood they still are

Great!  Yeah, sometimes it can definitely be the graphics card.  In this case it was something connected to your graphics card.
