Installed Sims 3 Showtime doesn't load in the game

Hi!

I've been playing Sims 3 in Mac for awhile now. My first expansion pack was from here, the University expansion pack and last week, I decided to install more so I got Supernatural, Town Life Stuff, Pets and Showtime. 

I've already installed all four of them by following your guidelines here from this site (Thank you guys for that). But I have a problem with Showtime. Although it was already installed, it doesn't show up totally within the game itself. No new neighborhood, hairstyles, clothes....it's like I'm just playing Pets, Supernatural, Town Life Stuff and University only.

I hope you could help me with this problem. Thanks.

My suggestion would be for you to try installing Showtime again, and apply the Ultimate Fix.

If that does not work, try these steps:
- if you are not at version 1.63, please update to 1.63 from the launcher or download the manual patch and apply it.
- if you are already on patch level 1.63, re-apply the manual patch.
- install Showtime again.
- download the latest Ultimate Fix and apply it.

I hope that will work out for you.

I am already using 1.63 version and tried re-patching it over and over again as well as the Ultimate fix, uninstalling and re-installing Showtime as well.

It still does not work.

Well, in the launcher, the Pets is not shown as well as Showtime but I can play it in the game. 

Even in the Show Package Contents->Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Electronic Arts/

The Showtime shortcut appears along with others. It appears to be okay when I looked with its application's contents, I just can't play it inside the game.

I don't know what to do anymore.

If I remember correctly, I think I got it from here as well.

Hmm. If you have gotten it from here then that may be our culprit. The base game uploaded here is actually not compatible with macs.. So I'm actually surprised that you were able to play at all

Well in any case, if you really wish to play Showtime and avoid problems with other expansions, you might want to download another base game. The link for the appropriate base game can be found in the detailed pdf guide linked below.

HOW TO INSTALL THE SIMS 3 ON A MAC (simplified)

* If you have previously installed The Sims 3 on your mac, please do a FULL and CLEAN uninstall before proceeding.


1) Install your base game.
2) *Update your base game to the latest version via the launcher's Game Updates tab. [Current: V1.63]
3) Unzip original Expansion Pack files with Stuffit Expander. (Skip Steps 3 & 4 if you have downloaded your EPs in .iso or .dmg)
4) Create .dmg files of the EPs with Disk Utility.
5) Install EPs in order of release.
6) Apply the LATEST Ultimate Fix for Mac. (Use ONLY the two files in the main #Crack folder!)
7) Enjoy your game!

Good news: I can play Sims 3: Showtime now.
Bad news: I can't play other expansion packs. 

Here's what happened. I uninstalled all of the expansion packs and I left Sims 3 base game behind since I deleted the installer long ago just to save the effort of re-downloading everything again. Then I installed Showtime, do all of the usual procedure, then voila! I can play it. But then I tried doing the same for others, all I get are errors. 

Thanks for helping me out anyways! 

PS I remembered that I just downloaded the base game from PirateBay that's why it works properly.

There are probably errors because the installation process has been pretty much messed up

If you would want to play the other expansion packs, doing a full and clean uninstall would help
