I got an email that the new store fix for the roaring heights neighborhood is out but it reccomends deleteing the old store fix and caches...how do i do this?

Hello,

The easiest solution is that you just copy the files from the new store fix. When you paste them into the correct location(s) - see the included store fix instructions ! - you just choose "Copy and replace" on all files. This will basically overwrite the old files - and you're almost done.

Then navigate to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and look for the file scriptCache.package. Delete that file ! And then you can start the game.
