The Sims 3 Island Paradise "No Disc Erro"

Hello,
 I downloaded both the sims 3 base game and the sims 3 island paradise expansion from *games4theworld*. the base game installed and worked just fine no problems, how ever when i installed the Island Paradise Expansion Is when i started having problems, When i click to play the game, it says "No game disc Found! please insert the Sims3 island paradise game disc before proceeding"  I checked the site for people having the same problem and everyone said to use the "Ultimate game fix" listed here on the site, so i did. i followed the instructions and placed the crack in the folder requested on the base game, and still nothing.


can anyone PLEASE help me!!!!!
 

**NOTE**

After posting i tried a few more things, I uninstalled the "sims 3 island paradise" expansion, and and allowed it to up date the patch or whatever, then reinstalled the expansion after placing the game fix in the instructed folder. I also tried placing the "#crack" from the fix file in the game/bin folder in the base game. still no luck!!! im pulling my hear out here!

hi missywolfe19 did u update the game using manual update and then u need to apply the crack from ultimatefix to exactly thesims3/game/bin it works fine and did u apply the crack which came from the island paradise to thesims3/game/bin if u didnt try it hopeit helps

Could you please explain in steps, how i go about manually patching the game? I think ive confused myself by trying so many different things. i feel like i dont know where im at with this lol i did try to place both the ultamte fix crack and the island paradis crack to the sims3/game/bin folder still same error. im so lost!

I need to know if this worked, I am having the same issue, but will follow the instructions given here. Fingers crossed. (BTW, I'm new here! lol)
