Sims 3 Launcher -- Not Opening. [SOLVED]

I re-installed my Sims 3 base game and even updated the Origin launcher but the base game didn't start. Also, the Sims 3 launcher isn't starting and gives an error message "Sims 3 launcher has stopped working". I bought the original CD game, so yeah I'm incredibly mad now. Does the Island Paradise torrent given here work with the original Sims 3 base game? Kindly help...at my wits end now...       :newfag:

 I'm not the best in these stuff but I'll do my best for sure.
So have u tried opening the TS3.exe from C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.
Or maybe try running as administrator.
Have u tried re-installing the game?
BTW: Torrents here work absolutely fine with the original games (ONLY IF THEY'RE FROM ORIGIN)  
Try these for now and see what happens.

Yes, I re-installed my game and tried to run the launcher as administrator. I also deleted the missingdeps.idx file. But still an error message keeps appearing. Says "there is an error during start up. please see the log for more details."

I have to download the patch 1.67. I missed that step. The CD i bought is registered with origin and I have an account on origin too. Surprisingly, when I tried to patch my game after re-installation from the CD, it kept saying, "You need to be online the first time", it didn't even log into my account.

Its terrible that we buy an original CD and still the game has trouble patching.
Anyway, do u think that Island Paradise will work on it? Or do i have to download the base game again??

I applied the ultimate fix but didn't download the patch. When I launch the application, it says "Your Sims 3 base game is incompatible with the current Sims 3 expansion pack. Please update the game via your game launcher. I have installed Island Paradise EP in my computer. Sorry to bother you so much but is it just because of the patch that I am getting this error message?? The launcher doesn't work either.
