Can't open the download Sims 3

So I've been trying to install sims 3 expansion packs but when I download I can't open them. I already have The sims 3 on my computer downloaded from piratebay and it works. I use uTorrent and powerISO to install in onto my computer (windows . Now when I download the expansion packs I can't open the files and it seems like they are downloaded in a wrong format. I don't know if I should be using different programs to download and open the files.

Please help!

Ok if you download the expansions from us, which I suggest you do, they will be in a .rar format. You will need a .rar program like Winrar or jzip(which is what i use). You will unpack/unzip this folder to a new folder on your desktop and then install from there. Yeah it's still not working after I installed winrar. I still can't get it to work. It's really frustrating. The sims 3 is already working but I used a different way of installing it.

Can you tell us what you mean by "I still can't get it to work"? Can you further elaborate with a screenshot, and if applicable the error message upon extracting or installing the expansions?
