Sims 3 Latest Fix. [SOLVED]

Please can someone help ? I've installed the SIMS 3 base game and am trying to install all the expansion packs but on the World Adventures expansion pack, we're told to ignore the Crack, but Im not sure if Im supposed to do the first bit, which is 'change the SKU number to 2' ... do I still do this bit, and then ignore all the stuff about the Crack Folder 1 and Crack folder 2, and just go to the bottom, to install the pack, before moving on to the next one ? Not sure if the SKU thing was part of the crack, which we were supposed to ignore. Can someone help please ... my daughter has been waiting for days for me to sort the expansion packs out.

Hello I reccomend getting the latest Sims 3 patch which is 1.24
Don't use patch just yet.

And
now Make sure everything is uninstalled then Re install Sims 3, I
strongly recommend useing the base from G4TW, it makes it lesss buggy.

Now Install town life stuff and world addventures.
Town life first! so it should update your sims 3 base to 1.23

Now
install World adventures, and get the 2 files from ultimate fix which
are from World adventures, and put them to sims 3 bin which is
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin. now grab town life
stuff cracks (Not from *crack folder) and put them to sims 3 bin.

Now use the 1.24 patch and...get the cracks from *crack folder in ultimate fix and paste it into sims 3 bin

Then play it might ask you something but just press ok

Thanks for replying. I have downloaded and installed the G4TW base game and the Town Life, which did update my SIMS game, as you said.

I have the Latest G4TW fix ready, but it says to install the expansion packs first, and then install the fix at the end, so I am in the process of installing all the expansion packs first, then will add the fixes into each pack and crack the Town Life at the end.

My problem is that .. as directed in the latest fix, to install the expansion packs, but DONT crack them, Im not sure on the World Adventures pack if 'changing the SKU number' is part of the crack or not, that we are supposed to ignore, or if we still do this bit, and then ignore the next bit about Crack Folder 1 and Crack Folder 2, and just install the game from the exe ?

Any idea about the sku bit ?

Well Installing the game from setup, You have to remember the steps before step 10 are all for a single exntension not for multiple, and if you just copy the 2 files from ultimate fix in WA to sims 3 bin, I think you should be fine.

(It also might mean do not use the *crack)

It's ok, I figured it out, by googling the SKU thing ... this is a 'region code' thing, which enables you to play games for the correct region, so Ive changed it to 2, and ignored all the other instructions about cracking etc.

Just changed the SKU to 2, then installed the game with the exe file and updated it, then moved on to the next expansion - seems to be going ok so far - will know more at the end, when Ive installed all the expansions and applied the fix and the Town Life Crack.

Yes, that's all I was needing help with - I knew not to install cracks - only for the Town Life Stuff - which is the latest pack - just needed advice on the SKU thing, which I've sorted now ..... 1 is for USA, 2 is for UK, 7 is for worldwide.

Dont need to patch by the way - the game updates have already updated game to 1.24.



For anyone else needing a bit of help on this, here's what I did and seems to be fine so far ...

Install Sims 3 Base Game (do not crack or patch or copy any TS files yet)

Install each expansion pack you want - starting with Town Life Stuff (For each pack - you ONLY need to use the exe file located in the download and the serial number given in the instructions) - ignore any 'crack' instructions - do not patch or crack anything yet. (For World Adventures expansion pack, change the SKU to 2, as shown in the instructions but do not patch or crack) Update after each one with your sims launcher.

Apply the 'Latest Fix' from G4TW - which is an update to the 'Ultimate Fix' - which will involve copying the relevant TS files into the relevant expansion packs - then after you've done all that, Crack the SIMS 3 Base Game with the 'Town Life' Crack - located in the 'Crack' Folder.

I'll update this if I come across any problems.
