Serial code invalid when updating SIMS 3

Hello. I'm a bit new here so please tell me everything, whether it is a good or a bad thing about my post. :newfag: 

Okay, so I only have the Base Game right now (pirated, not downloaded from here but from my friend who bought a pirated SIMS 3 game). Originally I just want the World Editor feature, and I read it here that I need to have the latest version/patch to have that feature. I already have the latest version, but when I hit the play button from the launcher it asks for the serial code. Since I had a pirated copy, it was obvious that my serial code will not be accepted.

I read about the Ultimate Fix, and it clearly says that I need to have at least one of the mentioned EPs so that the ultimate fix will work. Now my problem right now is that my internet is so slow, downloading one of the EP may take me some time (3-4 days). Is it a guarantee that my problem will be solved once I download an EP and continue with the Ultimate Fix?

In the end, what I really want is just the World Editor feature. Am I missing any fixes or do you have any suggestions regarding getting the World Editor?

It's hard to guarantee anything when a game is not from here but if you get your base game and whatever expansion/stuff pack from here then there will be a higher chance that your game is going to work with the Ultimate Fix and everything!
I don't really know what a World Editor is but could it be Edit Town or Create  A World program? (correct me on that one please )
If you mean Creat A World program then you can download it but if you mean Edit Town thingy then you need then you need the game!
If you decide to download your stuff from here, please make sure you follow the steps of this article but if you decide you want to continue without getting your game from here then there's nothing to guarantee!

Yeah I mean the Edit Town thingy in the game! Haha. So it means that I can't access World Editor in any way possible unless my game is legit?

That's not what I said, I said you need to have at least the base game (either legit or pirated or downloaded) to be able to get Edit Town thingy!
If you want to get your downloads from here you need more than just the base game!

So it's decided then.
Download one EP mentioned ---> Ultimate Fix will work ---> "Serial game code" issue will be resolved ---> World Editor in Edit Town. Did I got it right?  

I have no more questions. I'm satisfied! Haha.
I will update when I already have that EP, so that I can proceed.
