hey.. please help me out.. i have a laptop with this spec below:
Model: HP 1000
Intel® Core™ i3-2370M Processor (2.4 GHz, 3MB L3 Cache)
Intel® HM75 Express Chipset
Intel® HD Graphics 3000
14.0-inch diagonal HD Bright View LED-Display (1366 x 768)
2GB DDR3 System Memory (1.90 unusable (no idea this unusable part is ok or not SIMS 3 CRASHES.. SERIOUS ERROR OCCURED.. Icon_sad

HP 500GB 5400RPM Hard Disk Drive
windows 7 ultimate SP 1 64-bit operating system
i've installed sims 3 and itx XPz (excpt som like ketty perry , outdoor, WA, HELS, FL,Disel, in2 d future)
i followed step by step instruction of how to install sims 3 correctly.. itx been 5,6 tymx ive tried buh when evr i tried to play.. my game crashes.. dont save, or serious error occured aftr i tried to launch my save as game.. i am soooo frustrated.. i dnt knw where am i doing wrong.. i soo want to play this game.. n let me tell u this aswll tht i dont have ny orignal base game n XPz.. ive dowloaded all the torrentx from ur official site pirate bay ... pleasseeeee helpppp me out withhh thissss ... il be thankfulllll ........ yes i applied it by follwng the step by step procedure given in the ultimate fix n as well from the instructionx given on this site.. how to install sims 3 correctly.... n manually updated my game to 1.67.. Sad

Please download the Ultimate Fix again, and copy the files from the #Crack folder to C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin.
Please then restart your game.

ahhh.. no joy :(still... ive re-downloaded the fix n applied the crack as u told.. game loaded perfectly but as soon i moved my family into a bridgeport house .. my screens blanked out.. n sims stopped working showed up.. Sad

I do hate to say this, but I do not believe that your memory is big enough to keep running The Sims 3 for a long periode of time, since Windows 7 demands at least 1,5 GB memory to run The Sims 3 and since you only have 2GB and your laptop needs to run other things at the same time, it stops The Sims 3 after a little while.

But I can be mistaken.

Hello,

Now, have a look at this here and do all steps, EXCEPT step #3, because you only have 2 GB of RAM. Leave step #3 out then: https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t857-the-sims-3-crashes-freezes-to-desktop-fix-updated-on-7-01-2014

Then go to My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3 and delete all contents inside the Currentgame.sims3 folder. Also, in My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3, delete the following stuff:

-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-plus the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"

Re-start the game then and see if anything improved. You may even turn off your anti-virus program completely before playing The Sims 3. And even lowering some in-game graphics settings, in the options menu of The Sims 3; depending on your computer's performance. For example, lower the resolution of the game.

hey i did as u say... my game went well fo hlf n hour thn again it freezed n stopped working.. i saved my family b4 it stopped n freezed.. buh now whn i want to load tht saved family again it says serious error ocurd before the loading bar fully completed.. feeling very frustrated now SIMS 3 CRASHES.. It's usually the case that freezes like that would be due to lack of memory. I would *strongly* suggest looking into upgrading the memory in your laptop to at least 4gb for the sims. This isn't a particularly expensive thing to do (perhaps 30-50 USD or thereabouts). On paper your laptop may fit the required specifications but I believe (as many others do) that the official minimum specifications are rather inaccurate.

I had a similar problem. The laptop just froze. The problem was caused by the laptop over heating. I would never have expected that. The game was running perfectly, but the bios shut the laptop down due to over heating.

Maybe you should considering using that portable laptop fan thingie from pc shop tamakiri? It helped my game a lot! Also a game booster might help!

@honey_puppet: I agreed with admin here. Your pc need a memory upgrade. Sims 3 slow as hell in my previous laptop too (which is 2gb ram)

I'm afraid there is not much I can add to this anymore; besides a possible RAM upgrade. Have you actually tried SHORTENING your playing sessions already ? So, don't play for so long, and save the game very often...maybe it can help you a bit for now. You can google for "how to increase virtual memory"; that could help you too a little; like this here: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/change-virtual-memory-size

Yes and No. Yes, in the sense that if your computer "just" meets the minimum requirements, you might run into problems, sooner or later, as with most other games/software.

But no in the sense that - of course ! - there are ways to "make the best of it". This can include various in-game measures (shortening playing sessions/saving often, reducing graphics, etc.) as well as some other more general computer maintenance stuff like defragmenting the hard-drive, turning off unnecessary background processes and applications (even with the help of tools like "GameBooster"), including anti-virus/anti-malware software.

Having a good computer is certainly very important, but if you don't know how to use it, then it's not going to help you. I've known folks on here whose computers could be able to play "Call of Duty: Ghosts" on highest settings, but in fact they weren't able to run The Sims 3 properly; because they didn't know about several things, like increasing virtual memory, increasing RAM usage, etc.

Merely buying/building a bada$$ gaming computer is NOT the end of the story (yet). Wink

We prefer this "way", because it tends to be confusing when there are too many different people posting in the same topic, EVEN if the problem seems to be the same for all. hey, i got the same problem as well.my game was totally fine before. hardly no crash and it works smoothly even though i had so many cc installed. supernaturals, showtime, and almost every ep and sp i installed run perfectly until i installed late night. the installation guide told that i need to reinstall all of them. But i didnt and just played after i install it and i didnt put any cracks cause i already use the ultimate fix crack which is the latest crack and most people said that i dont need to put anymore crack after i installed it . the game loads fine on my other neighborhood, then i choose bridgeport and i cant save my game on the live mode and then it started to blacken everything out and a crash notification popped out. i did every thing like turn on DEP, even my memory is still a lot, i save my games in my harddisk it was fine before. now i decided to reinstall all my ep and sp like what's written in the installation guide which i previously refused cause uninstalling 15 sp and ep is quite a job. i checked the late night's crack folder and it's different from other cracks. so i got confused. my question is.. should i install late night like whats written? but i haven't got ambitions,world adventures and hels installed, what if when the late night works and i decided to install world adventures and ambitions the same problem occurred? that means i have to uninstall and reinstall all the other packs again. if someone have the complete expansion packs would you help me please and suggest what's the best way for this?

but it didnt explain how to install world adventures, ambitions, Late night, high end loft stuff and fast lane stuff and all of this packs have a confusing cracks folder which consist of three items.
