The Sims 3 : installed Late Night but yet can't be played

hi! i just finished downloading The Sims 3 Late Night RELOADED and installed it. At installing it, my Sims 3 launcher appear to stop working.
then i googled and found this topic https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t752-the-sims-3-ultimate-fix-should-fix-most-of-your-problems and applied it. but it turns out that the sims 3 launcher is working fine but I was asked to reinstall the base game. however, my base game is working fine on its own

my question is that, 1) do i need to have the sims 3 town life stuff or the sims 3 generation or,

2) is that any other way that i could possibly do to fix it without having to download any of the 2 expansion packs?


p/s: just for ur information, i only have the base game and just attempting to install late night without any other expansion or stuff pack
