In-Game Music Bug Empty In-Game Music Bug

Post by Guest Fri 21 Mar 2014, 23:33

Hi, I have a little problem that is driving me out of my mind. I noticed a very happy, up-beat music playing but I assumed it came from the stereo, since my Sims were throwing a Feast Party. But when I turned it off, the music was still there. I sold the goddamn stereo, and it is still there. I moved my Sims out of their home AND IT IS STILL THERE.

The only way to shut it up is turning Sound Effects off, but I don't like doing that, I like the other sounds. Just not that annoying as kjsdkajd music. Is there anyone here who knows what to do in this case? Please, I'm desperate, almost.

Edit: The problem seems to be ONE of my Sims. Wherever HE goes, the music goes. But there is nothing that I could recognise on his backpack/inventory? I still don't know what to fix.

Hello,

Did you add any mods or custom content BEFORE this glitch happened ? If yes, please remove again, whatever you may have added recently.  Also, in My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3, delete the following stuff:

-CASPartCache.package
-compositorCache.package
-scriptCache.package
-simCompositorCache.package
-socialCache.package
-plus the contents of the folders "WorldCaches" & "Thumbnails"

That's all I can suggest for now - good luck !

Hello, Carlos. I didn't delete those files -- will do in a bit, but the glitch was fixed after going back to the Main Menu, for some reason.

Mystery still open.
