Sims 3 Launcher problems
So hello, :newfag: and I've tried searching for results here and all over the internet for days... I have reinstalled The Sims 3 for 4 times and nothing works... I really hope you can help me with the 2 problems I have. (This is out of the topic, but I'm really sorry if my English is bad, because I'm not an English person )
So basically, my game launcher won't start. I know that you can start the game from the "TS3.exe" file in the Bin and that's what I'm using, but the reason why I need the launcher is The Sims 3 CC (Custom Content), because without Custom Content the game is really boring When I try clicking on the launcher, it says: Sims3Launcher has stopped working. Windows can check online for a solution to the problem and gives me 2 options: "Check online for a solution and close the program" and "Close the program". So for several days I've been trying to find a solution, but all I can find is that you can start the game from "TS3.exe"... If it helps, I have no EP's or SP's installed; I am using The Sims 3 Razor1911 Final MAXSPEED; I am running Windows 7 Home Premium (32-bit)...
And my second problem is about the EPs and SPs... I have tried to install those, but it keeps saying that before I install EPs or SPs I need to install the base game, even though I have it.. These problems literally are killing me and if someone could give me a solution that works, I would be REALLY thankful
I hope you can help me and happy simming for everyone!

Hello and welcome,
I'm almost sure that part of the problem is due to your (unsuccessful) un-installing of the game(s). Basically you should never un-install any software or game unless you know what you are doing and you are sure that this will solve your problem (or if you don't need the game/software anymore).
As for the launcher, it is heavily glitched, and there isn't really a solution I can offer. EA is not going to fix the remaining bugs in The Sims 3, because they are already focussing on The Sims 4. I can only offer you to read the following:
https://games4theworld.forumotion.com/t15843-how-to-use-cc-magic
Keep in mind though that you cannot install worlds with "CC Magic".
As for your expansions issue, try un-installing the base game again, and then re-boot the computer. After that, re-install the base game. Alternatively, some un-install tools like "REVO Un-installer" (look on Piratebay) or "Your Un-installer Pro" (available from G4TW, here) can help you with the cleaning of the registry, after un-installing a game/software. In case of Your Un-installer Pro, open the program, and choose a game/software. In the next window choose "Super mode" and follow the on-screen instructions. After it's finished, re-boot the computer.
If that doesn't work either, you might want to consider downloading and installing a base game from another uploader.
Good luck for now !

So did my solution work for you ? Or do you still have issues with that ?
Try this too: go to your base game location (C:\Program files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin) and look for the Sims3LauncherW.exe file. Right-click on that file and choose "run as Administrator". Then try "experimenting" with the launcher, just as you would normally do. Does the crashing still happen then ?
