Followed Directions and downloaded patch still having issues

Hello all!

I followed all the download directions to the "T" when downloading. When I tried to play the game, (The Sims 3, Island Paradise) it would load, but there was no towns available to choose from. Even when I clicked the ... button (for options) it had nothing listed.

I then downloaded the patch in case that was the issue, now when I go to load the game, it says the disc is not in. I'm not really sure what to at this point..

Any help would be appreciated.

UPDATE: I got my previous games from my other Sims games to show up, but now it just has a pop up that says, "Game Disc Not Found" Retry or Quit.

Any ideas?

I attempted to undownload the modification. I went and actually purchased a sims 3 island paradise disc and it is still not working. It is saying there is a problem with the sims3 game launcher and it closes.
