Download a legit game with a torrent.

Hello guys!

I've been downloading the 50.54 GB origin titanfall and speeds are really slow. Is there a way to download the game off a torrent and install it so that it's accepted by origin as legit?

Appreciate the responses.

One thing right away: I'm not familiar with the Origin-client, hence I don't know how it works. Theoretically, it might be possible, if you put the program files of that game into a custom Origin-folder, usually C:\Program files(x86)\Origin games, and then modify the registry so that the "location" of the game is changed, to said custom Origin folder.

The catch now is that there might be "hidden" program file folders or even registry entries, which can make the whole thing more complicated. And another question is how this whole "activation"-thing works in Origin: if you managed to install the torrented game and put in your (legit) serial number, could it be "activated" ?

I'd say it's not worth the hassle. Try downloading at different times of the day, maybe the Origin servers are temporarily "overloaded" ? That's the best advice I can give for now.

I somehow miss the times when you went into a shop, bought a DVD/CD of something, and simply went on to install the game. Now there are often "download"-only versions of games, you need to activate the game over the internet, you need to download and install tons of updates for the game, not to mention that most games (including their "DLCs") are just not worth their money.

You're welcome - and things like that are the reason why I still prefer optical DVDs/CDs, instead of having to "download" the game in some sort of "client", although there are of course good excpetions too, like STEAM (from which I bought a number of games).
